Monroe Wesley, MBA – Chief Information Officer

Monroe Wesley has over 25 years of experience leading and directing Information Technology in healthcare and business environments.

Prior to joining MindCare Solutions, Monroe was the Director of the IT Risk and Informatics Security for Vanderbilt University from 2007 to 2014.  His primary responsibility was assessing the University and Medical Center’s Information Technology (IT) environment(s) for risk vs. benefit to advise and lead efforts to mitigate risk. Some of Monroe’s major accomplishments were immersed in the Medical Center’s Information Privacy and Security Executive Committee. With his membership, leadership, and contributions this Committee steadily impacted the organization.

Before joining Vanderbilt, Monroe developed and managed the Information Security program for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.  For eight years, he was responsible for the organization’s core information security policies and procedures, security investigations, cost-risk benefit analysis, and assuring the organization’s compliance with relevant information technology laws and legal requirements. Some of Monroe’s major initiatives at St. Jude included: clinical research informatics, implementation and expansion of a complete electronic medical record and an enterprise management system.

Monroe completed his Bachelors Degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Memphis and he received his MBA at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and is an active member of ISACA.
